With the new year well underway, we thought it could be useful for all the petrolheads and sponsorship managers out there to get the racing calendars for the 4 main worldwide racing series, namely Formula 1, MotoGP, Formula E and the brand-new MotoE.
You can find all 4 calendars in a handy, free-downloadable PDF format at the bottom of this very page.
As mentioned above, it is a fresh start for MotoE, the fully electric motorcycle championship set to debut this year in Jerez on May the 5th, alongside the MotoGP Spanish Gran Prix. With 12 teams set to take the grid and a short 5-race calendar, Dorna and the Federation enter a new, highly-anticipated era. There’ll be a lot less revving and vrooming of course, but we’re sure these silent beasts will not fail to impress at the Spanish ouverture.
Speaking of electric, the Formula E season is well underway, with already two superb races in the books. The fifth season of the Championship saw green light in Saudi Arabia before moving to Morocco for the Marrakesh round. With new car, new rules and a howling pack of highly talented and motivated drivers, Formula E is proving to be as thrilling (maybe even more?) as her major sibling Formula 1. The Championship will hit Rome, Paris and Berlin among other popular cities, before the grand Finale in Brooklyn, New York.
Formula 1 and MotoGP
Formula 1 and MotoGP will maintain their 2019 format, with respectively 21 and 19 rounds. The pinnacle of motorcycle racing will kick off in the Qatar night on March 10th and will end with the traditional Valencia GP on November 17. Formula 1 takes to the track down under in Melbourne on March 17th and is set to close the curtains in the Yas Marina harbor on December 1st.
