“Win the Barcolana” contest with Alfa
The Alfa 147 Murphy & Nye is a car that is sophisticated and sporty at the same time, bringing together Alfa Romeo style and the dynamic essence of Murphy & Nye. To promote the launch of the Alfa 147 Murphy & Nye, Alfa Romeo asked RTR to organise the “Win the Barcolana” competition, which gave 10 lucky winners the chance to take part in one of the world’s most evocative regattas. During the period from June to July 2007, anyone visiting an Alfa Romeo dealership or a Murphy & Nye outlet received an info card about the competition. By visiting the www.alfaromeo.it website they could enter the competition, leaving their details. On the 13th and 14th of October 2007, the winners, together with
their guests, spent a whole weekend immersed in the magical atmosphere that characterises the event: the prize, in fact, included hotel accommodation in Trieste and participation in the Barcolana regatta on Alfa Romeo-branded sailing boats, while their companions followed the event on a hospitality craft equipped with all comforts which was able to sail in the regatta zone, allowing them a close-up view. RTR was responsible for implementing the competition and organising every aspect of the weekend in Trieste, from hotel bookings to locating and personalising the craft, as well as selecting professional skippers able to steer the boats in safety. In addition, two of RTR’s account managers accompanied the participants for the whole duration of the event, ensuring the operation’s complete success.
