Thanks to the collaboration with RTR Sports, the LCR Team has reached an agreement with SIFI, an Italian company based in Catania, who for over 80 years have focused on research and innovation in the ophthalmological field. For years they have exported their know-how throughout the world following the company slogan of “EyeCare Together”.

From today SIFI officially joins Lucio Cecchinello’s team for the remainder of the 2015 MotoGP World Championship, becoming one of the team’s Official Sponsors supporting experienced Briton Cal Crutchlow, who on board his factory Honda RC213V has been consistently battling for the top spots in the championship standings.

Lucio Cecchinello (LCR Honda Team Principal): “The collaboration with SIFI brings with it a great deal of pride and enthusiasm – uniting their experience in the ophthalmological field with ours in competitive sport. The aim is to work together to bond sport, scientific research and culture for the benefit of eye health. Specifically speaking, along with SIFI we plan to undertake studies (and their related EyeGym training protocols) in order to improve the visual performance of riders, who are constantly bombarded by rapid changes in eye stimuli. That’s as well as doing our part to spread the culture of prevention and treatment of eye disease, through our vast international audience. As we say in Italian… “l’occhio vuole la sua parte”, or “looks are important too” both in sport as well as in all of our daily lives.”
